This Natural Food Should Not be Consumed by Anyone at Anytime for Any Reason

Milk may be a symbol of wholesomeness for most of us, but according to Time Magazine, it's also a battleground between government regulators and natural health food proponents who want to drink whole, raw milk.

The war is a test of their freedom to choose to drink a rich-tasting beverage full of beneficial bacteria, enzymes, vitamins and amino acids, that are mostly destroyed through pasteurization, the proponents say.

But to the FDA, it's a basic health issue: "Raw milk is an inherently dangerous product, and it really should not be consumed by anyone at any time for any reason," a representative from the FDA tells TIME.

Unfortunately, if the FDA sergeants get their way, they'll win the war with help from Congress and the proposed Food Safety Modernization Act. Read the rest of this article

The Chicken Which Should be Banned

by Dr. Mercola

Do you put dimethylpolysiloxane, an anti-foaming agent made of silicone, in your chicken dishes?

How about tertiary butylhydroquinone (TBHQ), a chemical preservative so deadly that just five grams can kill you?

These are just two of the ingredients in a McDonalds Chicken McNugget. Only 50 percent of a McNugget is actually chicken. The other 50 percent includes corn derivatives, sugars, leavening agents and completely synthetic ingredients.

Organic Authority helpfully transcribed the full ingredients list provided by McDonalds:

"White boneless chicken, water, food starch-modified, salt, seasoning (autolyzed yeast extract, salt, wheat starch, natural flavoring (botanical source), safflower oil, dextrose, citric acid, rosemary), sodium phosphates, seasoning (canola oil, mono- and diglycerides, extractives of rosemary).

Battered and breaded with: water, enriched flour (bleached wheat flour, niacin, reduced iron, thiamin mononitrate, riboflavin, folic acid), yellow corn flour, food starch-modified, salt, leavening (baking soda, sodium acid pyrophosphate, sodium aluminum phosphate, monocalcium phosphate, calcium lactate), spices, wheat starch, whey, corn starch.

Prepared in vegetable oil (Canola oil, corn oil, soybean oil, hydrogenated soybean oil with TBHQ and citric acid added to preserve freshness). Dimethylpolysiloxane added as an antifoaming agent."

Migraines Relieved by Spinal Manipulation

Participants in a migraine research trial were reviewed for symptoms and clinical features and their response to manual therapy. The four selected cases of migraine responded dramatically to spinal manipulation therapy (SMT), with numerous self-reported symptoms either eliminated or substantially reduced.
Average frequency of episodes was reduced on average by 90%, duration of each episode by 38%, and use of medication by 94%. In addition, several associated symptoms were substantially reduced, including nausea, vomiting, photophobia and phonophobia. Each of the four cases is presented to assist practitioners in making a more informed prognosis.

The Path of an Adjustment

Chiropractic treatment, known as a chiropractic adjustment, involves methods of restoring optimal mechanical function to spinal joints. When joint mobility is optimized, nerve impulses flow freely from the brain to the body and back from the body to the brain.

Normal nerve transmission allows all body systems to function normally. Cells receive their instructions on time and in the right amount. Information (feedback) from the cells likewise reaches the brain on time and without distortion. Cells and tissues do their jobs efficiently and effectively and the body expresses optimum health.

The channels of communication are open and information is freely transmitted back and forth. Thus, the layers of good health are in alignment. The body has a built-in healing mechanism. The job of the chiropractor is to enable that mechanism to work properly.

Lost Sleep Can Never Be Made Up!

Staying in bed on weekends won't make up for weeks' worth of sleep deprivation. A new study finds that going long periods without sleep can lead to a sort of "sleep debt" that simply can not be undone with extra sleep.

Such chronic sleep lost may eventually interfere with a person's performance on tasks that require focus, becoming particularly noticeable at nighttime. This could be due to the effects of your natural sleep-wake cycle, or circadian rhythm.
